Jessica Currin was murdered in Mayfield, Kentucky on July 30, 2000. Two individuals Carlos Saxton and Jeremy Adams were originally arrested and charged with Jessica’s murder. Charges were dropped after key evidence in both cases went missing.
Five individuals were implicated and convicted of Jessica’s murder, despite multiple statements that have been recanted, lack of DNA evidence and allegations of corruption in the case of Jessica Currin. Quincy Cross is serving multiple life sentences for the murder of Jessica Currin. Jeffrey Burton was convicted of Jessica’s murder after accepting an Alford plea, sentenced to prison and has since been released, . Tamara Caldwell was convicted of Jessica’s murder after accepting an Alford plea, sentenced to prison and has since been released. Vinishia Stubblefied was convicted of Jessica’s murder, sentenced and has since been released. Victoria Caldwell was convicted of Jessica’s murder but served no time. We will be covering this case in depth, telling the story of Jessica Currin and the injustice that has plagued Mayfield, Kentucky for the past two decades, with the help of Jessica's family and those closely associated with the case. We will be using the money raised to fund this film and advertise the project to the full extent, to raise awareness and get people talking about Jessica's case and for the Currin family.
